I keep my flour and sugar in fancy glass containers on the counter so that people get the false impression that I have my shit together.

It amazes me that we have the equivalent to super computers in our pockets, but we are yet to find a more user friendly way to seal sacks of flour…

I always use scissors to open the top and a clothespin to keep it shut after that. I got fed up with this moment.

I’ve never seen so many people that don’t know how to open a bag

I‘m baffled people seem to have never heard of scissors

I wonder if different packaging facilities end up applying different amounts of glue. And different areas of the country tend to get product from only one specific facility, which is why some people have such a hard time and the others shame us for trying heat guns just get at our flour without destroying the bag and getting flour everywhere. 😉
Anyone up for some detective work??

I keep my flours in plastic containers in my freezer.

I opened one last week and it was challenging. I promised myself I could do this every time now 😮💨

I had my bread flour bag from them rip the same way 2 days ago, weird that it’s never happened on a bag of the all purpose flour but my first bread flour bag tore

All I see is the standard way to open the container as clearly designed. :)))

I just don’t get it, all the bags of flour I’ve seen here in Canada could be hurled at the wall like a shotput and the top would open before the sides give out… Why’s your flour bag game so weak USA?

I buy my king arthur in 50lb bags at gordon’s for $27 and store it in a 5 gallon bucket.
Those little bags are just too expensive, its 3 times the cost.
* **50 lbs for $27** = **$0.54 per lb** * **5 lbs for $7** = **$1.40 per lb**
